Breakfast provides us with fast fuel after an overnight stay - that's where its name originates from:

Without it, you effectively run on empty.
Breakfast should be eaten within two hours of waking up and a healthy breakfast should provide calories 20-35% of your guideline daily allowance (GDA).
A bed and breakfast (B&B) is a type of accommodation, typically a smaller, family-run establishment, that offers overnight lodging and breakfast for guests.
